The US military has been flying covert planes to Israel from RAF Akrotiri since the bombing of Gaza began, Declassified has discovered.

Not surprising in the least, what else would they use their base on Cyprus for? Surely not for any good.

Cyprus is in a convenient geographical position in the region and it is safe to assume it has been widely used to monitor the situation and collect intelligence on the Gazan conflict.

Also, the geopolitical situation in Cyprus remains disputed. I wish a Unified Cyprus could solve tensions between Greek and Turkish Cypriots. Those two British bases should have been dismantled.
