Was curious if I could get a commie pod going for Magic. XMAGE is what I use for online play, awesome little tool for not having to shill out 1,000 dollars for cardboard.

Also down to teach people if y'all never played Magic.

I think most MTG players use it to do online play. There's also cockatrice and forge, I've fooled around a bit with forge to learn the basics of the game.

I've heard of cockatrice; never of forge. Discovered it only two years ago, XMAGE that is. As someone who loves his Magic I shat my pants over it. Been waiting for someone to make some program like this because MTGO sucks ass.

Is there benefits compared to forge or cockatrice? I know XMAGE is 16gb total, big for a card game; but it's not as rules agnostic compared to cockatrice or at least that's what a friend told me.

Things might've changed tho! You played Magic? What color combo/what mono?

I main Dimir and Izzet because people hate me.

Forge is best played against the AI from what I gather, but the system really enforces rules so it teaches you to play correctly, I assume. I'm a total magic newb, mostly played around with green decks, sometimes black, sometimes red/green. I love the early expansions like Ice Age and Arabian Nights

The early expansions have some super fun cards. I love Urza's block and mirrordin.
