How people manage to play and chat online with random people? (lemm.ee)

This may sound dumb for some of you but I just can't play online, or at least I can't play anything with chat or a very social aspect. That's why I only play tekken on my xbox since that doesn't require socialisation but I have so many games and I feel half of them are worthless now that I finished the campaigns because I don't play them online.

People said "use discord" but that shit is so counter intuitive to use isn't like reddit, that just find a sub and connect. I don't like that you need invitations and that every game is subs inside subs and diverse chats... is too much.

This is kind of embarrassing because I feel like I’m out of touch with video games but I actually have the opposite concern…

How do I play games that allow me to talk to people while playing?

I have a an iPhone, an Android tablet and a Nintendo Switch.

I know I’m limited by my devices but are there any games I could play that have that feature?

Looking more for the social aspect than the gameplay tbh.

I just saw that they launched a new MMO with PC / Android cross play called Tarisland. But that's literally all I have heard about it, I couldn't tell you if it's any good or not.
