South Australia's government will introduce legislation to ban electoral donations.

Newly registered political parties and unendorsed candidates would be entitled to receive donations of up to $2,700.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said the reforms may face legal challenge.

It's about time. It's absolutely insane the amount of corruption journalists like Jordan shanks unveiled

And if you see all the crap happening in America, it suggests that we don't even know the full extent.

In particular, it's pretty obvious that real estate and mining sectors are doing dodgy donations

This legislation won't prevent those industries from influencing politics.
