* All chatrooms are linked together. If you join one room your messages will be copied to the other platforms.
* Matrix is an open source and potentially distributed chat protocol. The matrix room listed is hosted on matrix.org, a somewhat centralized hub for a lot of currently public rooms. Though the protocol itself is free, libre and open source, the deployment of the protocol resembles a centralized service. This may be fixed in the future with the deployment of independent servers.

Step one for downtown...have things opened past 3pm
This is going to be a failure all around.
@Fiivemacs @NotSteve_ How can this fail? It has all the earmarks of success: A commissioner who recruits ambassadors and then writes reports.
When you think about it, this is exactly how a city that doesn't know how to have fun would plan to be a city that has fun - through strict bureaucracy.
That'd be nice wouldn't it? I live in Centretown but even it makes me feel like I'm still living in my small hometown. Ottawa's not a huge city but things should be open later, even on Sundays damn it
What do you consider a huge city? Doesn't Ottawa have over a million people living in it now? It's kind of spread out over a large area I guess..
Really under-selling the sprawl here:
Sorry who is underselling the sprawl? That's a really neat image thank you for sharing
Just wanted to hit the point harder since it's not kind of spread out, it's super spread out. Which is super frustrating because it's causing a lot of issues.
That is very true. I've shown some of my friends from smaller towns that image you shared me. They have a hard time believing Ottawa is that huge, it's nice having a visual to prove it.
