Couldn't see shit from my place. Was I looking in the wrong direction? At the wrong time? Or is there just too much light pollution on my street?
I'm not sure, there was a ton of light pollution where I was at. It was all over the sky in every direction and moved around.
When?
Probably too much light pollution. Unless you're far away from any light it's difficult to see with the naked eye. Try taking a picture with a long exposure (just a couple seconds should do it). You'll want to be looking North and they can change in intensity through the night but I was able to get some good photos around 11:30.
What time and direction?
Randomly from 10 to 2, north, west, and south.
Hmm, odd. Must've been light pollution, as I was able to pretty clearly see them north, west, east, and right above at around 11:20.
