Is it expected to rise in price or something? It is not on sale now, and is currently more expensive than the original ever was.
It was 24.99 on first release, and didn't hit a true sale for a year a and a half. So far the devs say this early access has more content than the original already, so I'd say that it's worth the extra $5 (though IMO it's worth a full $60 if it's anywhere near the first), so you can wait 18 months and maybe catch it for $20 if that's what you want to do.
