I never buy eggs. I don't eat them. However I have a recipe I'd like to try, that requires an egg.

In the supermarket, small shops, and even the small farm shop I looked in, they come in minimum packs of six. If I buy six, five will be wasted into the bin.

Surely there's somewhere that will sell me a single egg? I'd have thought the farm shop would but nope.

Or if not, is there something I can do with the other five other than eat them?

Ask a friend or family member? Or just knock on a neighbor's door and ask if they have a spare egg. You could offer to pay for it, but I feel like most people would happily just give you an egg if you said you needed one for a recipe.

Yeah, this would be my last resort. I'm not really close with my neighbours but I could probably mooch one off my family next time I'm over.
