It is really sad to see the wasted effort, but eventually people realize they made a mistake and end up on the correct path.

Better late than never, but it would have been much better if these skilled people worked on a proper DEX or something useful all this time instead of BTC "privacy" non-sense.

Oh absolutely. These people were just far too optimistic and got brutally disproven because of it.
