I think it's a win-win. Calgary gets some prospects and a couple picks, plus a play now player. Quite a haul for one guy.
Honestly, the return looks a little underwhelming for Calgary. Especially given they're taking a net cap hit.
It's a rebuild, they are ok taking some cap on, if it means picks. It's the long game. It's not like a banger of a trade out of the gates, but I think it might pay off longer term. You've got a whole bunch of bodies coming your way, there's gotta be a diamond somewhere in there.
