This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.
This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.
We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.
Rules:
- No bigotry, anti-communism, pro-imperialism or ultra-leftism (anti-AES)
- We support indigenous liberation as the primary contradiction in settler colonies like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Israel
- If you post an archived link (excluding archive.org), include the URL of the original article as well
- Unless it's an obvious shitpost, include relevant sources

I think a big factor today is that living standards in the west are rapidly collapsing. This leads to loss of faith in the system, and by extension into regime propaganda. When people start realizing that their government is lying to them about everything, then it's not a huge leap to start asking why China is being demonized so much.
I hope you’re right. I am probably just in a filter bubble on yt, but seeing organic content (i.e. not spooks) give this commentary about toronto contrasting with this commentary about China within such a short period (on a western platform!) seems to be a leading indicator that reality is catching up with media perception
The other side is that people don't believe that there could ever be a government that people would approve of, just because ours is so consistently horrible.
I definitely notice that, people have a hard time imagining that a government could function in a fundamentally different way.
