Even FO:3 and FO:NV vats is fine

Anything that doesnt force me to play like an FPS. Anything that pauses combat fully.. Or better yet make it fully turn based

I don’t remember Fallout 4 VATS being any different from 3 or NV

Last time i looked it was just slowed time, not paused

Also, whats up with the downvotes for preferring to play an RPG with turn based combat, or at least something close to it??

It is slow enough that it is effectively paused. It's more of a visual effect than a significantly different mechanic.
