My family had plants like that when I was a kid-- one easy way to care for them was to water them in the sink and then wait for some drainage before rehanging them
Or you could try not overwatering them, and then the soil wouldn't leak.
Not all soil is the same
Don't bother having plants if you're going to use crap soil.
