Well if someone says it in a tweet, it must be true! Well, of course, only if it confirms what I already believe to be true!
You’re right that you can’t believe a screen shot of a tweet but this was all over the news when it happens as well.
The only thing I can come up with about his anti LGBTQ positions is that he checked a box that says he believes businesses have the right decline to work with things that conflict with their religious beliefs and they trans girls shouldn't compete in women's sports.
Now dont get me wrong, I strongly oppose one of these (denial of service) and the other im still on the fence about. But you really have to work to make this some hypocritical positions because you had sex with a man.
I've seen nothing that indicates hes very vocal on anti LGBTQ issues, let alone, as this tweet implies, one of the loudest.
So I'll go ahead and say the tweet is false, and if not, grossly misleading.
“He who shouts the loudest” is a common phrase used to indicate someone who is acting like a hypocrite. It does not mean they are literally the loudest anti LGBTQ representative out there. He is a member of the GOP which opposes rights for the LGBTQ community. That is what makes him a hypocrite.
Nothing in this tweet is misleading. I don’t expect you to agree with that though since your comment implies you don’t support trans rights (how the fuck is someone on the fence about another human having rights) and are likely a GOP voter anyway.
Agreed. But it implies a lot more than simply "acting like a hypocrite." It implies the person is constantly or vociferously condemning something. Not just one time checking a box.
The fact that you are turning to a baseless ad hominem and misrepresenting my position in order to claim that is why I won't agree just exposes how little faith you have in your position.

I'm not sure I agree, but you are welcome to that opinion and it's besides the point. The point being that using the phrase "he who shouts loudest" for this guy is, at best, grossly misleading. The only positions I know about him are pretty mildly "anti gay" if you can even call them that at all... additionally, it doesn't even appear to be a big issue for him because I don't see him pushing it constantly.
Attacking me and making shit up about me because you need me to fit in some little box doesn't change this reality. Sorry.
