Before we answer a question, we must first examine the premise of the question. Or in classic 知乎 (Zhihu, think Chinese Quora) phrasing: 先问是不是,再问为什么.
What are these "concessions from capitalists", where do they come from? Does the mere presence of a thriving socialist country pressure capitalists into improving working conditions, or is it actually worker movements that fight for better working conditions? Are capitalists threatened by the existence of protests and strikes, or of the reduced profits that result from them? Does Marxist theory or practice support the notion that "concessions from capitalists" can be gained without force or bloodshed? Are "benevolent" capitalists a traitor to their class or just making calculated decisions that ensure their survival and profits?
Let there be no illusion or metaphysical reasoning when it comes to capitalism.
