Hello everyone,

To echo the last post, I wanted to have a more solution oriented discussion.

There are basically two options:

  • start having the discussions threads in this community, but there is a risk that those would get buried in the rest of the news links. Also, it's not that easy to just link them in the sidebar as currently Lemmy doesn't have instance-agnostic links for posts.
  • start another community (something like MoviesAndTVReviews) dedicated to reviews. That way, reviews are more visible, and easier to navigate (we can add a quick search button in the sidebar)

What do you think? Do you have any other idea? I'm going to post two comments with the two proposed solutions, so that people can simply vote on them, but feel free to suggest your own solution.

This depends on how good Lemmy search is, but could we have a tag in the post title that people can search by? Similar to what flairs/tags would allow for

[Review] Title of movie

Users can edit that tag into the title after being reminded, but it would also be a lot more work to enforce. I left my vote with the new community option

Thank you for your comment! I thought about it too, but as you said, I was afraid it would be too cumbersome to enforce.
