Video We are building a massive, visible, national rejection of this crisis—and yesterday’s protests are proof that the people—the majority—are taking action to stop a hostile government takeover.

Because let’s be clear:We do not have a functioning democracy anymore.Trump and his billionaire allies have dismantled our system of checks and balances, stacked the courts, silenced dissent, and declared themselves above the law.

This is not politics as usual. This is a hostile takeover by billionaires, corporations, and authoritarian enablers.

They are gutting the country for parts—and selling us out in the process.

April 5 was our 4th national day of action, and it won’t be our last. We are committed to building our peaceful People’s Movement and achieving 3.5% participation. History shows that when just 3.5% of the population engages in sustained, peaceful resistance—transformative change is inevitable.

Join our Movement at https://www.fiftyfifty.one/, and save the date for our next national day of action on April 19th.

This is a good sign, from how I see it; because it means they're frightened. They're downplaying our numbers (some protests boasted up to 20,000 participants) because they want it to SEEM miniscule.

If it really was small and unimportant to them, they would have used the actual numbers. This shows me that they're intimidated. And they should be. It wasn't just "thousands" of people. The estimated total nationwide was around 5 MILLION. That's insane!

I also want to leave a message for all of you.

Ever since November, I've fallen into a doom cycle and wasn't sure if we would make it; how we would make it. I was positive that the Trump administration had infinite, unchecked power, that it was over, etc., etc. I had not been happy or content since November until I had seen the turnout for yesterday's protests. It was insane.

I wasn't able to attend, but learning that the FIRST protest garnered an estimated 5 million attendees gives me so much hope and optimism. This is only the beginning; this is only the first nationwide protest. I have no doubt these numbers will begin to multiply.

I feel truly hopeful for the first time in six months; so thank you. I'll do my part in promoting this movement as a thanks for organizing it in the first place. This has proven to me we are powerful in numbers. You are all wonderful people. I no longer have any doubt that we will, in the end, come out victorious! We will continue to organize and attend protests and reach that needed 3.5%!

❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤

I used to be very involved in the anti-trump movement and filled with hope and optimism. I started losing steam during the election season last year, I think largely due to general personal depression. I have been getting really scared since January but I had little motivation to try to organize or doing anything about it and I didn’t see many people around me doing much either. I was completely losing hope. I didn’t know about 50501 or the protests planned for April 5. Then I saw them on the news yesterday and I cried. I needed that so badly. Thank you so much everyone. I will be there on April 19. I’m in Atlanta so I know it will be big here. You guys are not just helping the country. You are helping me personally with my depression.

I wasn’t sure what flair to use. This is a post to say thank you.

Is it "fifty, five, o, one"? Or "five, o, fifty, o, one"?

You know what I'm asking, right?

You may have noticed a lot of us feeling disappointed in major news organizations for failing to report on the mass protests on April 5th. Or, there are limp articles using words like "Protests in several cities", "Hundreds of people", etc.

On top of that, a lot of us are still feeling negative, saying things like: "Well unfortunately it really changes nothing"; "We did good, but they're just ignoring us"; "They don't care"

However I think we've received a huge gift from them by their actions. Their response is great for us. Here's why:

If April 5th was actually something they didn't care about, and something useless and weak to them, then they would have had no problem reporting on the truth.

When we see the flaccid, weak articles (or lack thereof), and hear the silence, they've accidentally revealed hidden information to us: they are desperately trying to control the narrative, which means they are absolutely panicking right now.

We have power. Incredible power. They want us to believe nothing will change, because if we believe it then it's true.

Let's keep the pressure. They're scared, and they should be.

I (naively) thought that the affect of the tariffs would sour some folks on Donald. But now I'm seeing this new narrative that Trump is tanking the economy on purpose to lower interest rates in order to more easily pay off the national debt. People telling me I know nothing about economics if I don't think a recession is a good thing. He literally can do NO wrong in their eyes and it's disturbing

I've seen other posts about why there isn't much diverse representation at protests and I'm glad that is being addressed.

I want to talk a bit about posts that are talking about how Gen Zers and Millennials are not at protests and say that is outright a lie. It might be true in some red states, but in Colorado I have seen EVERY generation represented including generation alpha (people bringing their kids).

I am a millennial and I am furious about what's happening and I have seen other millennials at protests. In Ft. Collins yesterday I overheard two Gen Zers discussing why they were there and one said, "I want to be able to say 30 years from now that I did something."

I am so proud of the Baby Boomers, the Gen xers, the Millennials, and the Gen Zers showing up and exercising their First Amendment right. The truth is that every generation is showing up and speaking out and I see you.

THE WORLD SEES US AND WE CANNOT STOP NOW.

Next day of action is April 19th

I'm proud to say that at least 300 people showed up despite bitter cold and snow in the town of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

https://theradicalfederalist.substack.com/p/the-protest-playbook-how-to-win-real

This person posted a guide to escalating massive protests into the next phase. Marches that go nowhere and that dont force the government to make concessions will be largely ignored. This is a fact.

We should start talking about moving on to phase 2. Massive organized sit ins. Control key locations. Force the local elites to deal with us. Start to show you can completely control a location for as long as possible and disrupt supply chains if you wanted. This will be essential when moving on to the next two phases. Localized strikes and mass general strikes.

We need to think 2 or 3 steps ahead. Marches are not the end all be all here. Use the momentum and lets organize what comes next. What do you all think?

A small photo on page 1, with a reference to page 19 where you'll find a meh write up about something or other happening. No reference to or pictures of hundreds of thousands of people gathering. Disgusting. Our local news was much better.

How's everyone else's local coverage?

Tehachapi CA went from 40 protesters to over 300 today! The locals magas lost their minds, posting all over FB that we must have been bussed in and were getting paid!!

The truckers were wild! No holding back support today!

The vibe was so positive 90/10 with a smattering of fuck yous, a bunch of coal rolls by the local militia-wannabes and one really angry man.

But the absolute level of support was unprecedented for this town.

It’s happening. People are waking up! ✊🏼❤️🙏🏽

I may just be a random person on the internet. I'm not from the US.

In my work I do often work with tourists from the US. It has been very hard to tour you guys around for the past few years. Just explaining about my country and my city, I've been able to see many Americans just melt away during my hour and a half tours. Its been tough seeing the quiet desperation behind the eyes of many.

You have not only just risen up to stand and fight for what you think is right. You have done much more than that. You have taken the first step of not taking the abuse no more. You have just shown the world you are no longer able to just sit idly by and do nothing.

You came out in numbers at the first nationwide protest. Your media may not be covering it all too much nationally yet (or correct me if I'm wrong). But its on the news in my country. I am betting you it is on the news all around the world too. And please keep this momentum going!

You have not only inspired many more that share your values that couldn't go to these protests or didn't believe in these protests. You have inspired many more souls to speak up and root for your cause. I don't often speak on socials or even mingle in debates. But this time I felt I needed to speak out in support of what you are doing.

I am rooting for each and everyone of you. Seeing those images, seeing those videos of you guys out en masse. That's the Americans I grew up looking up to as a European with shared western values. Its good to see those values are still there and you guys are fighting for them. Not only for yourselves...

With all the negativity you guys have been receiving on the subs everywhere, I felt the need to give you guys this heartfelt message from someone that dearly cares about the state of your country and the world as a whole.

Awaken that French fighting spirit in your blood, Show them and anyone unwilling to listen, what Freedom really means. You are in control of the country you live in and this is the way to get that back!

In my country it's often said; "we either have to pump together or drown together". Meaning we don't have to agree but we do have to solve this together. (we just have mother nature to remind us of this)

(If any of this message comes of condescending I apologize for this beforehand. English is not my native tongue and my writing style is rather direct, one of the few reasons I rather stay quiet.)
