A lot of RDR2 recently. The Gang’s dynamics are really pretty fun and the gameplay feels like the perfect evolution of the Red Dead Series. I really love how they brought back the San Andreas game mechanic of gaining weight and losing weight and I especially like that a Chubby Arthur can sponge up bullets better than a skinny Arthur

Just got done with the story of Arkham Asylum. Working on the challenges now! Though, I see I'm not as good at combat as I thought lol. At least the stealth challenges were a cakewalk!

Probably going to start up Arkham City once I'm done and keep this ball rolling.

Just rolled credits on Satisfactory after 100 hours, and been playing the hell out of the Factorio: Space Age DLC (at about 120 hours right now). I like factory games a lot.
Generally having a really good time on Factorio, but Gleba is absolutely not my thing. Everything up to that point I have loved, but I kind of dread continuing on from here.

I have Persona 3 Reload on the backburner, for when I clear my plate a bit. About 10 hours into that.

Biggest game I am looking forward to for 2025 is probably Monster Hunter Wilds right now.

Ah, so it's a DLC, not a fully fledged game like I thought.

I don't play more than one game at a time, for some reason, and right now I'm into AoE4. I've been climbing the ladder as they say. Well, not so much climbing, more staying in place, but the struggle is fun.

I've been playing through Augustus/Casar III off and on. I'm currently stuck on Procurator. I like a lot of genres, but my absolute favorites have to be RPG and RTS City Builder. But only the ones that are more complex, where the player has to manage the economy, plan production lines, allocate labor, etc..

I don't really care about AAA games (anymore) but whenever I feel like it I'll watch TGA out of curiosity and because I find the cringe funny.

Not really anticipating anything in particular for the next year. If somehow the new FNaF game turns out to be decent I might get that, but judging from my personal experience with anything post FNaF6 I don't have any hopes or expectations. EDIT: I've been hearing some rumors online that apparently new Half-Life game is in development. If true, I'm really looking forward to that.

There's a new expansion pack for factorio. Factorio is not for everyone, but whoever gets it gets a cheap per hour entertainment.

I wanted to play the new Dragon Age game so I'm trying to blitz through Inquisition before I start it. Origins is one of my favorite RPGs and DA2 wasn't as good but I still liked it, but I'm not totally sure how I feel about Inquisition. I think if I had played it back when it released and had time to explore everything I would have liked it a lot more but as it stands now I'm just trying to rush through it lol

multiplayer game, first-person-shooter, you control one specialized squad (mostly infantry squads), and you try along with other squads of your faction to complete game objectives (capture/defense/destruction) against the enemy faction.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Free to play tactical FPS where you control a squad instead of a person. When one character you control dies, you switch to another member of your squad. This allows for big battles. You can drive tanks, planes, etc. too, if I'm not mistaken.

I haven't played it, but I have some friends who do and they say it's super fun.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago

Might put it on my list then.

I've been on a Warframe kick. I need to get back to playing Resident Evil IV, but just haven't been in the mood.

My favorite genre is probably first-person anything, though I have to usually settle for third-person. I also like strategy and puzzle games.

I'm anticipating Warframe 1999, but that's not coming out in 2025. I think. Idk, I don't keep up with stuff.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago

I always come back to Warframe in spurts, I would like to play it again but just got so much on my list.
Soulframe NDAs are lifted now, so can say I enjoyed the time I put into that. It is a really visually striking game, but way slower paced than warframe.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Keep out the look-out for Soulframe.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago

Oh, looks interesting. I'll keep an eye out.

I'm returning to Baldur's Gate 3 after a long break. I made it to the third act months ago then set it aside.

Last month didn't play anything but was playing Factorio before that. I was trying to build a 1k SPM mega base before the new expansion dropped but didn't get close. Was too much of a learning curve scaling up a rail block base with my own blueprints and I tried to switch to it too early so most of my time was getting production back up with the new base build. Learned a lot though. Enough changed with the 2.0 update it's not worth trying to continue my save.

I'll probably pick up the expansion and dive into it again after I finish BG3. Unless I play through BG3 again as a sorcerer which I just might do. My monk is fun but I've gravitated toward spellcasters in RPGs the past several years for some reason.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago (2 children)

You should finish Baldur's Gate 3. It's great. And yeah, I guess Paradox finally updated Factorio, but what about the new one?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago

The Paradox published factory builder is Foundry, which is more of a satisfactory style first person joint. Wube makes Factorio I believe.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago

I'm not sure which new one you mean, sorry. Factorio got a big 2.0 update but also its first expansion. I believe they're planning on making a new game next in a different genre.

Traveling for work so mostly just Slay the spire. Up to ascension 5 now.

Not really looking forward to TGA, specially since I don't really care for AAA games. I'll just watch any interesting trailers after, the show itself is unwatchable.

School has taken up most of my “gaming time” so I haven’t done much of it. The most recent game I have played is Fields Of Mistria which is like Stardew Valley but with a 90s anime aesthetic and magic. It’s in early access on steam and it’s really fun. I also of course have been playing Stardew valley, especially since the new update recently came out for switch, and Mario Kart 8DX. Once the semester is over I will play Disco Elysium and some other games I have yet to start. I don’t really have a favourite genre except I seem to gravitate towards fantasy and life type games I guess. Chill games with things to do, expect Mario kart is anything but chill. I also like Zelda.

There is only one game I am looking forward to but there has been no clear release date: Haunted Chocolatier, which is made by the same guy who created Stardew, ConcernedApe.

I hope one day I can get a steam deck so I can play all my games away from my computer. I actually prefer handheld and I think I’d play more game if I had the means.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago

Tbh, I won't have much gaming time left with my new upcoming job with FedEx. And yeah, I'm also gravitating toward "cozy games," which is what you seem to describe. Take care. Also, damn, I want Haunted Chocolatier. Fields of Mistria is another good "cozy game." And play the new Zelda game; it's the best one in a while, better than Tears of the Kingdom (which isn't saying much).

About to start the 3rd act of DQ11, what a great JRPG, don’t think it will surpass DQ8 for me, but it’s certainly close.

Working on another Dark Souls SL1 playthrough, last time I used pyromancy mainly so I’m sticking with melee this time. Probably going to stick with a fire reinforced club until I can get the giant blacksmith hammer. That or a lightening club if I can’t bring myself to whack the giant blacksmith. Definitely miss having combustion and great chaos fireball

Also playing Dark Souls 3 again when I need a break from the SL1 run, nice relaxing claymore build. Love how atmospheric that game is, I’ve mostly been clearing areas and then walking around taking screenshots and admiring the art.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Dark Souls 3 has the best music except for one theme I really like in Dark Souls 2 (I know, I know, nobody @ me!).

Also, now there's going to be a DQ 12... I think? Or is it DQ 13?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

DQ 12, they haven’t said much about it though beyond the initial reveal. Supposedly it’s going to be much darker in tone. The series creator called it “Dragon Quest for adults”, which after playing and not really liking FF16, which also went for a darker tone, I’m anxious to see more!

While DS1 is my comfort blanket, DS2 is my favorite! Majula slaps too hard and I like how different it was from DS1. I don’t even mind adaptability, lol

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 days ago

True, but it apparently had the "same story" as the previous one (didn't play DS1).
