Yeah… but they’re not

Losing their minds?

Recognizing that a douchebag is a douchebag doesn't necessitate losing your mind... You just write him off like the many other douchebags.

Because he's a fraud. He lies, and gets caught, and his reputation reflects that... among people who care.

Hyperloop was a scam to kill train development.

He's pretending he's got robots, by paying guys to wear onesies and mix drinks badly. Most recently: at an event for how he's totally gonna do full self-driving next year. Just like last year. And every year before that.

Tesla stock gets manipulated to hell, and the board doesn't mind, because the board is loyal to him instead of the company. Manufacturing seemed largely unaffected by all his bullshit (despite some apparent hamfisted micromanagement) until he pushed his rolling punchline of a truck. A sheet-metal pavement princess with the bed space of a 2003 Civic.

He also bought a major communications tool and unbanned all the Nazis. But everyone who trusted his word about satire got the boot. Moderators? Fired. Support? Fired. Public relations? Automatic poop emoji.

Widespread anger toward him is his fault. He's not being misrepresented or discriminated against. He's the richest asshole on Earth, he has the loudest megaphone ever invented, and he owns... a space program... as a side gig. 'People sure are mad about this egotistical charlatan's omnipresent bullshit!' is not some kind of gotcha. When someone like that actively makes the world worse through their words and actions - what else would be a sane response?

Which is funny. They should support Tesla since it’s our path to green cars. Tesla is much better than anything else on the market. Don’t let politics get in your way of supporting highly paid workers who are building a product that supports your ideology. I had a Tesla. That car was amazing. I’ll get another one even if Elon flips full liberal again. Too many other people are involved to care about Elon

Tesla is much better than anything else on the market.

In what way?

  • They have had more digital recalls than any other product ever developed in the history of digital recalls.

  • They also rate among the 10 highest in physical recalls and required maintenance, despite EVs on average needing far less maintenance than combustion engines.

  • Tesla's build quality is notoriously bad, with some of the widest part tolerances in the industry. Panels are regularly off by as much as 5° and 2mm.

I had a Tesla. That car was amazing

Have you had other EVs, or was this your only dip into the market? Which ones?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

It’s the only one I’ve owned. I’ve driven about a dozen.

Tesla designed an EV. The others feel like a gas with ev slapped on to it. It’s not even the same experience

They loved him until he supported the right

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 weeks ago

No, we admired some of the things he did- until he showed who he really is. A racist piece of MAGA-loving shit.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

I think that's why they hate him so much. He was their idol then he committed the heinous act of wrong speak and betrayed them.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

There are still 100k other people in the company.

It’s funny they’ll rant about Elon but by from a car company that doesn’t pay their employees as well or isn’t a eco friendly.

Don’t let politics get in the way of the better product for your values.

I am big on the environment. As such the Tesla is my choice for electric cars.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If you're big on the environment why support someone who intentionally gets public transit blocked so they can build.some underground car subway that doesnt function as well as a regular one? It doesnt make sense to say you prioritize the environment and then give your money to someone who actively works against it. Cause the only real way to take care of the environment in transit is not EVs, or green components, or robotaxis. Its fucken trains, make your cities use trains to move more people around for less. Thats it, and Elon actively sabotages that.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

In Vegas no public transit was blocked. Not sure where you made that up. That also has nothing to do with Tesla. That’s boring company.

I am not taking a train a few miles. Ev cars serve that purpose.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Its weird how the Boring Company made this underground transit for Teslas. But sure it has no relation at all. All of these projects exist to tangle city funds in them so that public transit is left to die. He only started talking about this when a high speed rail project was proposed to connect states.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

All these projects? I only know of one project. I don’t keep up with boring as it’s not Tesla.

Boring has nothing to do with high speed rail. He’s not suggesting we connected cities with tunnels. Boring is about taxing the traffic off the roads.

Are you confusing boring with hyper loop ? That has nothing to do with Elon either. Branson was building hyper loop

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It has nothing to do with Elon except for all his concerting and teasing of it. According to Wikipedia anyway. You sure you know who you're playing footsie with? You sound like you dont know.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I’m talking Tesla and you are obsessing about Elon.

Elon didn’t try to produce hyper loop and you were talking about boring.

Thanks for proving my point about the irrational Elon hating. Everything you’ve said has been false but you keep wanting to go on about Elon. That’s weird.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Crazy how you overlook all 3 of these companies intermingling constantly, and with government subsidies too. You happen to purchase a Cyber Blinder?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No clue what you’re babbling about but thanks for proving my point.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ignorance is bliss, ain't it?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You’ve proven that to be a true adage

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

And we all continue seeing what we want to see.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah we’re taking about Tesla and you start crushing about Elon. That’s weird. Stick to the topic.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It is on topic you just fail to see it, like you fail to see how Tesla is not necessarily good for the environment which is how this how thing started.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Tesla is good for the environment compared to an ice car.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

@wintermute_oregon @realcaseyrollins tesla is not better than anythign and is not green in any way
