Does gardening leave in Formula 1 still make sense? Gardening leave in Formula 1 has long protected teams from outgoing staff taking ideas with them to rival teams. But with the growth of remote working, does it still make sense?

paddock sources have pointed to the idea of a proposal being put forward for a gentleman’s agreement to help universally reduce the amount of time staff must serve for gardening leave

Sounds like improvements are already being considered, hopefully we'll hear more about it soon

The argument about remote working is total nonsense to me, job market pressure and money lost paying gardening leaves are better arguments against prolonged gardening leaves IMHO.
