Lol the same person who recently backed Trump? Doesn't feel very punk to me. Nor does her music lol

Yes, and her music isn't exactly punk.

What were your favorite punk artists doing in 2000s?

It's not even close to punk. My favorite punk artists were playing diy basement shows, campaigns for rights, beating up fascists, etc.

You're probably talking about bands I hardly know if know at all. They exist, but I don't think most are prominent.

We have Green Day, which might have said little in the 1990s. We had RATM, that endorsed Sendero Luminoso, a murderous group of Communists that murdered about 30 000 Peruvians: mostly indigenous peasants. We had Avril Lavigne, bless her, for whom "sk8er boy" was some kind of weapon she used against female rivals.

Along comes M.I.A. with Paper Planes and this song.

Green Day and Eminem attacked Dubya long after it mattered.

She is endorsing Trump a bit after it matters: Kid Rock has far more to answer for.

I don't like her endorsing Trump, but for me this is forgivable given her better past.

It's clear you have no idea what punk even is lol. You're trolling for sure.

Much of American politics is global politics.
