I mean, it's ok to have ideals and have a list of things you want in a partner. Just have 2 lists, 1 list is the bare minimum of what they need to be considered a romantic partner and then a second list of extra stuff that makes them stand out to you.

And guys a woman's list for guys is already pretty fucking low. It basically consists of being a genuinely nice person for the sake of being nice. Show actual interest in her and not just her body, and it helps to have a few fun hobbies.

Sounds like a process for filtering job applicants😅

Yes, the job of being someone's partner. You should take your love life seriously if you want to find a good partner who will actually be there for you when you need them

It took me 25 years of hard experience to figure out what this anime girl said in 15 seconds.

To be fair, don't forget the stockpiled knowledge of collective experience across human history through the power of reading and writing. The mangaka didn't achieve figure it out within 15 seconds of birth by any means—probably closer to our time spent learning, too!

But yeah, stop being picky lol. Me, too.

The thing is, we all (mostly) have access to that written knowledge, and friends gave me the same advice, but it's very difficult to internalize it and accept it sometimes.

True. Some of us dummies (read: idealists) can only learn certain things the hard way, haha.
