I think you might be misunderstanding something, not everyone who supports China supports Marxism/socialism/communism, and among those who do, not everyone is well-versed in theory or follows the activities of leftist people. In fact, you might find that Jackson Hinkle is seen somewhat positively on the Chinese media platforms he is on as he supports Palestine and claims to be communist.
