I'm confused. I remember when they shitcanned Xbox One version in favour Bedrock which was a buggy mess. Strategically they wanted everyone to play together which made sense and Bedrock progressed. This feels a bit like a betrayal. I guess values go out of the window when there is enough money on the table.

Isn't the PS4 version also bedrock?

Which would mean they're updating/optimising bedrock for the PS5

Hopefully it will get PSVR2 support.

Wait this wasn't already a thing? Was it Microsoft just delaying the PS5 version or Sony with their weird anti cross platform behaviour holding it back.

I thought the point of Bedrock edition was to have it accessible on basically anything that can run the game

You could use the PS4 version before. Hopefully this new version will use the PS5 hardware to the fullest.

I see, still though PS5 has been out for years suprised it took this long. Does the Series X have a native version or is that still running the Xbox One version?

Yeah, it's taken forever for this version to come out. Xbox series x (and s) got a native version relatively recently.

It's about time. A couple years ago, it was such a hassle to buy the PS4 version on PS5. I think I had to buy it in a web browser separate from console to make it work or something
