It’s really funny to me how so many complain how filled with “propaganda” Chinese internet is when anti-China rhetoric is dialed to 100% on all western internet 🙄. I don’t see the difference at all.

There Is propaganda everywhere. The biggest difference is the great firewall. China took institutional steps to create a controllable internet. They have a level of control over the content that no western government has. Though the US has taken a dangerous step in the direction of direct control with their ban on TikTok. If they cared about data collection and foreign interference they would create laws that generally protect personal data, and aimed at combating mis/disinformation.
