How easy it for those speaking the different languages to understand eachother?

I'm shocked Urdu is near the bottom. I thought everyone spoke that!

The map is of native speakers, so you may be correct that most people in Pakistan speak Urdu. In India it is common for people to speak their native language + Hindi or English
