Denouncing the current ultra right wing zionist state of Israel is not the same thing as anti-semitism. When someone commits a crime against humanity, they should be held accountable., irrespective of their religion.

It'd be one thing if it were just anti-zionists, (Okay, it's not, committing a second Holocaust is straight up evil, but I know I can't convince internet leftists of anything) but they're attacking Jewish people in general too. Although, there is a trend of anti-zionists being anti-semites.

committing a second Holocaust

anti-zionists

One of these things is not like the other 🎵

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I would consider genociding 7 million Jews to be a second holocaust. What would you call it?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Congratulations for completely failing to understand the issue at hand, and completely misrepresenting everything. Good loaded question though.

A state and it's people are two different things. I would have thought conservatives (who are generally anti-government) would have understood as much.

But I guess nuance isn't needed when your primary goal is to make sweeping generalizations.

Do you not know what a genocide is? Do you not understand whats going to happen to the people of Israel?

Man, you are ignorant. You just completely ignored the Hamas charter post, didn't you?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Do you not know what a genocide is?

I know quite well. The republican party is gearing up for one against queer folk.

Man, you are ignorant. You just completely ignored the Hamas charter post, didn’t you?

Man you are ignorant, not even attempting to understand any nuance and jumping straight to worst case made up scenario.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you honestly believe that? You know, you're the actual reason I couldn't go with a bad faith rule, because I simply can't tell with you.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Why the fuck else would republicans be dehumanizing queer people and passing countless laws to hurt queer people?

https://www.hmd.org.uk/learn-about-the-holocaust-and-genocides/what-is-genocide/the-ten-stages-of-genocide/

Yall are already doing/working on points 1, 3*, 4, and 6.

Basically ever queer person I've asked said they're concerned about getting genocided by republicans. It's not a concern that's coming from nowhere.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Man, some arguments are just memes, yall repeat them no matter how often they get debunked.

Ok, first off, slippery slope fallcy

Second: 2? What symbol? Pride flags?

Third, my usual response to these lists is to point out how the left is working on the same thing against the right.

Here, its a solid 1,4, and 6. Arguably 2, 3, and 5 as well. Are the left planning a genocide against the right?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Ok, first off, slippery slope fallcy

No.

A slippery slope fallacy (SSF), in logic, critical thinking, political rhetoric, and caselaw, is a fallacious argument in which a party asserts that a relatively small first step leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant (usually negative) effect.

I have not said [minor first step] will lead to [genocide/bad end]. I'm saying it's the general trend of republican policy is towards policy of genocide, as evidence by the above matching points.

Second: 2? What symbol? Pride flags?

Sorry, I misspoke, I meant 1, 3, 4, and 6.

my usual response...

...is whataboutism. Instead of actually addressing the issue at hand, you're just making shit up to throw back at me.

Here, its a solid 1,4, and 6. Arguably 2, 3, and 5 as well.

This is a good joke.

Are the left planning a genocide against the right?

There is a rise of violence against queer folks. Record numbers of anti-LGBT policies are being made/passed.

The same is not happening for conservatives. Quit lying.

You know, I woke up today and realized my mistake. It was replying to a whataboutism.

I even wrote up half a response before thinking to myself "wasn't this a anti-semitism" post?

So firstly, its still a whataboutism. You didn't read the hamas charter, so you deflected.

Secondly, I firmly reject the notion we're discriminating against lgbtq people, or any people of any group.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It was replying to a whataboutism.

No, because you specifically asked this question:

"Do you not know what a genocide is?"

To which my answer was yes, I live in a country on the edge of genocide. I have experience living in what could be a pre-genocide society. You're the one who asked, this is entirely on you.

You didn’t read the hamas charter, so you deflected.

I don't need to because I already know what's in it; you never stop complaining about it.

I firmly reject the notion we’re discriminating against lgbtq people

Then you didn't read the link.

Have another just in case:

https://www.aclu.org/legislative-attacks-on-lgbtq-rights

And another:

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/anti-lgbtq-laws-red-states/

And in parallel to these laws, is a rise in violence against queer folk.

https://thehill.com/homenews/lgbtq/4259292-fbi-crime-statistics-show-anti-lgbtq-hate-crimes-on-the-rise/

I'm not just making shit up like you.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (2 children)

So basically you think lgbtq should have the right to batter women athletes. You're disgusting.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

You're the one who wants trans men to batter women. If anybody here is disgusting, it is you.

Can you do anything better than a low effort strawman? I swear every other thing you say is just a strawman.
