…. Have they read the Bible?! There’s no way marry gave meaningful consent. God raped marry, then sent an angel to intimidate Joseph into silence.
I always assumed she hooked up with the 3 wise guys and didn't want Joseph to know.
Those came only after the birth to offer gifts, but who knows - maybe things got mixed around in oral tradition.
