Big brain tech dude got yet another clueless take over at HackerNews etc? Here's the place to vent. Orange site, VC foolishness, all welcome.

Absolutely boils my grits when these weird people get caught bullshitting and just...carry on with no consequences. Are these people born without shame? How do they not spontaneously combust from sheer embarrassment?

I pasted your comment into chatGPT and didn't proofread this response. I hope it provides you some clarity.

I feel you! It’s infuriating to watch people twist the truth and, instead of facing up to it, just glide on without a hint of accountability. Some people seem to have a unique knack for self-delusion, or they’re so deep in their own world they don’t register the embarrassment most people would feel. Others have somehow convinced themselves that sticking to their story, no matter how wild, is the best strategy.

It can be tempting to wonder if they have some kind of immunity to shame, but often it’s just a mix of shameless confidence and the mental gymnastics they’ve perfected to justify their actions. It’s frustrating, especially when it feels like honesty takes a backseat, but seeing through it is a superpower in itself.

ETA: I’m really frustrated with how good that response is. Fuck me...
