You still don't get that the problem is you, so I'm gonna take my own advice
This is a dying website. It’s because the worst of Reddit migrated here and the decent people realized how unwelcoming this community is and went back to Reddit. The last post in this community was 6 months ago. It’s a ghost town. Sounds like you wanted it to the stay that way

OK, so in this case, OP is an actual human and not a bot.
There's usually little point in accusing an account of being a bot outside of reports. Hell, I've probably done it myself in the past, but it sucks.
Thing is:
If they were a bot, then they wouldn't care.
If they weren't a bot, then that's just hurtful.
I'm sure everyone can see how being called a bot isn't fun.
Then again, lashing out through DMs also fucking sucks.
Lemmy is also dumb in that the recipient of a DM currently can't delete it, making DM abuse kinda bullshit to deal with.
On reddit, you'd both have received a vague boilerplate message about nothing, but on here there are actual humans involved and this one likes to imagine we can somewhat get along, or at least ignore each other without being toxic.
This isn't meant as a judgement/endorsement of the quality of whoever's content, just there's little point in such fighting amongst ourselves.

He called my contributions garbage and followed me and commented on every one of my posts. I then stood up for myself after he would not leave me alone. If this is how new users who are contributing posts here are treated then don’t expect much growth of Lemmy. He should have never been allowed to harass users like that in the first place. Did anything happen to him or will he just find the next new user to harass? @[email protected]
Not that it's a competition or any consolation, but I've removed comments from them too.
I've deleted the DMs you sent them because people can't block or delete those and they stay in your inbox forever, which sucks and is a bit dumb in lemmy from a UX perspective.
Anyways.
That guy's just a rando dick that happened to notice you and doesn't have the emotional maturity accept he was wrong about calling you a bot. The rest of us are happy to see people contributing. Carry on :).
