I always scoffed at one piece as it looks completely absurd from the outside. However, once I started watching I couldnt stop. It IS absurd, but in a great and genuine way. Worldbuilding is awesome and the characters are hilariously idiosyncratic. Big thumbs up.
that's what this fucking guy keeps telling me. I'll cave eventually and watch it
If you do watch the anime version, check out the One Pace project, a fan-edit that removes all of the filler and stalling in the animation - it is the definitive way to watch!
oh shiiiiiit i didnt know about this
The end of Wano was such a slog because that was the point where One Pace is not finished yet. Egghead seems less slow (at least for now) but Toei can suck my balls, such a bad adaptation pacing-wise omg
Yep. One Pace basically just uses the manga for the storyboards without the extra bloat (though some exclusive anime segments got kept if they added to the experience), and the whole thing ends up being 40% shorter overall - and more importantly, it's more dynamic and exciting to watch.
Is there a place to watch this, or is this a uhh...I need to remember how to become a pirate myself kind of project to see?
They have a website at onepace.net. Their actual site is not working currently, but at least it redirects to their Discord server where you can get the streaming and magnet links you are searching for!
I have begun my journey.
I had been trying for awhile, mind you! I just uh....kept bouncing off. Easier getting into this though than my extremely vain attempts to understand or get into Homestuck.
I think Homestuck has to stay as "Ah yes I heard about that and had a friend who used grey body paint a lot" area.
You can find the torrents on the project website, and then you use something like deluge to actually download the files.
