Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the resistance Palestinian movement Hamas, has been killed in an attack in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Wednesday morning that Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed when their residence was hit in Tehran.

The statement said the attack is under investigation and the results will be announced later in the day.

The Palestinian resistance leader was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian president-elect Masoud Pezeshkian.

Let's be fair, netanyahu got the greenlight from it's colonial home base.

I really want to know who's in charge of US foreign policy right now. Is Blinken calling all the shots? Or is he still taking orders from Biden? Are they trying to start a regional war before Kamala comes in and gets rid of Blinken? Real liberal fascist infighting hours going on behind the scenes, I bet.

Blinken is a Victorian era colonizer in the 21st century. Talking about liberal ideals but intent on maintaining/ expanding empire and slavery. Zionism is just a flavor of white supremacist/ western colonization. It's definitely him calling the shots but it's not like any Democrat or Republican would disagree.

Even within the imperialist regime, I feel like there is intense debate about whether Israel should start a 2/3 front war. They are biting off more than they can chew. Surely some of the more level-headed American military members remember how badly America lost in war games against Iran. A full-scale Iranian war would cripple global oil supplies. It would clog the arteries of empire.

Yes, but empire also needs more land and resources to devour to survive. What else can it do but push forward even if it may end in disaster. Imperialism is doomed unless it does this and it might be doomed if it doesn't. It needs an injection of next to free resources whether it's in Russia, Venezuela, or Iran.
