I wasn't referring to emails. I was referring to self-promoting ads that are baked into the Android app itself for promotional pricing (saw this promotion every time I opened the Proton VPN app on Android, which I do a lot). I'm also referring to the indismissable popups. Even with Unlimited, I still got these ads.

@LinkOpensChest_wav Regarding the Proton Pass modal on the account settings page, if you click away from the pop-up anywhere on the screen, does it disappear, or can you dismiss the modal only by selecting 'Start using Proton Pass now'?

At the time I received the popup, I refreshed the page, and it was gone. I'm not sure if clicking outside the popup would have worked. If there's no x to close, then that's what's called a "dark pattern."

@LinkOpensChest_wav That's a fair point. We've made sure to pass along your comments to the marketing team for future consideration.

We do try to strike a balance in our promotional materials between being informative about new offers/products/releases and giving an option to easily opt out for users who may not be interested, and honest feedback like yours helps in this regard.
