A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.

"We will move to end all American support from the ICC, sanction your employees and associate..."

What USian support? They aren't a member and this is the same ICC that the United States has an actual law in place to invade The Hague should a USian ever be charged.

Why should what a non-signatory objectively hostile nation says carry any weight whatsoever.

Bonus: More sanctions. We are going to reach a point where the countries and people sanctioned by the US is larger than those not. It will actually be an economic boon to be sanctioned.

In part it is already like this. Russia has grown since the sanctions and so did a few country that never applied them.

On the contrary a country like mine (italy) that applied the sanctions against Russia and Iran less than half heartedly (we historically have good relations with both) due to let's call neighbourhood pressure has suffered from it.

Now, one could argue that our economy was problematic since the 80s, and I hear u, but shooting ourselves in the foot is not helping.

P.s. I hope that what I wrote is not a mess writing in a second language before morning coffee is tough. :)

My country (Japan) is in the same boat. Russia is obviously very close to us and was a huge exporter for: parts that keeps our auto industry going, seafood, and natural gas. Not only did we follow along in sanctions because our masters told us to, we did it right after shutting down almost all our nuclear power plants. Meaning our only domestic sources of power are...old coal plants.

The only person really losing out in that exchange is us, Russia didn't need us as much as needed them.
