“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” Sanders said.

“First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”

“Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign?” Sanders asked.

“Will they understand the pain and political alienation that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing? Do they have any ideas as to how we can take on the increasingly powerful Oligarchy which has so much economic and political power? Probably not.”

Democrats are looking on nervously as their last-ditch goal of recapturing the House in an otherwise brutal election shows signs of fizzling.

There is a reason the art of war tells you to leave your enemy an escape. So they fight less intensely.

I think there was a reasonable chance after Trump lost the last election, if he was allowed to go fallow in the field peacefully, he probably would have.

However, the absolute avalanche of litigation, and prosecutions against Trump basically compelled him to run for president as the only way to get a respite or peace. I honestly thought Biden was going to pardon Trump for all possible crimes, just to let things settle down. it was petty that he didn't, letting a lot of prosecutors build their names by taking a bite out of Trump. Who, quite frankly, doesn't have his shit together, can't keep his mouth shut, always involved in comically bad low level fraud, and is an easy target.

Therefore, Trump had to run, had to win. Put 100% of his future into it, because that was his only escape.

DDHQ made the call after declaring Trump the projected winner of Pennsylvania and Alaska, which got him to exactly 270 electoral votes.
