Welcome

We are an unofficial Community

Flipper Zero is a portable multi-tool for pen-testers and geeks in the Tamagotchi body. It loves to hack digital stuff, such as radio protocols, access control systems, hardware, etc. It's fully open-source and customizable, so you can extend it however you like.

From the article:

The transparent Flipper Zero is available in a limited edition of 7,500 units and costs the same as the regular model: $169.99 in the US. Unfortunately for the 400,000 or so people who already have a Flipper Zero, the transparent shell won’t be available separately — I did ask.

Subject says all. Wondering if it can only be purchased online or if it’s sold in shops anywhere.

Curious if it's mature enough to make some coin from use

I think it's great! I installed a bunch of stuff. What about those on 3rd party firmware? Do you care?

I assume some are waiting for theirs to arrive, while others have had theirs for a while.

What do you plan your first project to be when you get it?

I'm looking for mods to moderate this community.

There are other communities available for moderation too. Please read the announcement Looking for Mods.

Please DM me if you are interested.

What do you do with your Flipper?

Do you run the default firmware?

Hello all,

I reached out to FlipperZero to get support to run this community. They told me they do not want to moderate it. Also, because of their business model they have to be really careful about moderation of official channels. Say, for example, we became a hardcore hacker group it could get FlipperZero banned from the US.

They asked me to change the logos and make it super clear that this is not an official channel of theirs.

I see my options as change up the logo and sidebar and keep it going or shut it down.

Let me know how you feel about it. I’m open to having someone else moderate it too.

Thanks, @[email protected]

I'm working on a project to have my ceiling light/fans work with homeassistant. They work on a sub-GHz band. I scanned each of the room's remotes and have them all cataloged.

I now have the task of finding a module for the Arduino that can broadcast to 304.25—next, coding it up to work with homeassistant. Then I'll keep it central to all the rooms to broadcast events.

Another challenge is keeping state. So I'd have to have commands to set the state and to watch for the frequencies used for the remotes to toggle the state of the light/fan that was just turned on or off.

I created this community because there isn't one yet. I contacted FlipperZero directly to see if they wanted to own/moderate it. I've not heard back.

I'm open to allowing someone else moderate.

I love my FlipperZero. I'm by no means an expert. I'm using it for sub-GHz band stuff. Maybe some RFID and Infrared here and there.

I hope some discussions start and we can grow. I want to learn more about how people use this divide while we all join this new universe that is Lemmy!
