They're all the same word at their core, evolving from the older Latin word. The difference just comes in how the words were used to describe either a computer related device, hard disk, floppy disk, or a sound carrying device, disc record, compact disc.

Yeah it's very jarring. She's dropping this huge bomb on them and they proceef to talk about other stuff. His first question being about the clone wars rather than wondering who she is or asking about what's going on, makes it seem like he's very not interested.

And Buckaroo Banzai

Yeah, the original trailer made it clear they were trying to go after the Minecraft style of gathering resources, building up a base and fortifying it, then defending from zombie mobs at night, like the Minecraft mobs.

Maybe not so much the pixel/block graphics, but the ideas behind Minecraft, with an actual objective, which Minecraft lacked.

I mean you can make Mac and cheese way better than the stuff in a box, but people still love that shit.

It's such a mess. I mean spez is an ass, but some of those career mods were just as bad. Moderating hundreds of subs because they enjoy the power. And you can tell that was the case when they'd harass random people because they did some little thing that upset them.

Weirdly enough, I never cared for Yahoo. Back in the late 90s, their homepage was a cluttered mess

I keep seeing YouTubers who host their own subreddits still mentioning Reddit a lot in their videos. Yeah, some people probably don't even care what happened.

Yeah, but the barrier to entry is much lower when the games are free.

Yeah, they definitely didn't market it very well, at least to the PC crowd. It seems the PlayStation version is doing much better, with advertisements in the PSN store.

Problem with trying to get a Fortnite was that Epic was wanting to get it's own PUBG after realizing that trying to get their own Minecraft was a failed endeavor. They quickly pivoted the game formula from a Minecraft type tower defense to a battle royale game.

Concord should have seen the writing on the wall early on and pivoted it's game into something else thats flavor of the month.

Anyone else struggling to run SD XL? Im on an older PC with a 10 gig 3080, 32GB system RAM. Using automatic1111.

Loading up the model alone is a struggle, but I was able to get stable performance (and no nan errors, or out of memory errors) by using med vram and sdp attention (as opposed to xformers, which was having errors after a generating a few images).

The real weird part it will straight up freeze up trying to load the model, or generate an image - unless I minimize my browser. Then suddenly it starts working at a decent 2.8 it/s (1024x768, DPM++ 2M SDE KARRAS, 25 samples). Needless to say, I havent even attempted to use the refiner model, as switching/loading models takes several minutes.

Just curious what everyone's experience with trying to run SD XL so far has been? The output is awesome and playing with it has been pretty fun, but frustrating.
